LGBT+ FLAG

Imatge
The LGBT+ flag The rainbow flag is the flag wich represents the LGBT+ movement. Its creation goes back to 1978, when the artist Gilbert Baker, an openly gay man and a drag queen, designed the first rainbow flag. Baker saw the rainbow as a natural flag from the sky, so he adopted eight colors for the stripes, each color with its own meaning:                                    The first versions of the rainbow flag were made on June 25, 1978, for the San Francisco Gay Freedom Day parade. Baker and some volunteers had made them by hand, and now he wanted to massively produce the flag for the consumption of all. Pink and turquoise stripes were removed, which resulted in the contemporary six-striped flag: This is the most common variant of the rainbow flag, with the red stripe on top, like a real rainbow. The fact that there are a lot of diferent colors means that there is a lot of diversity in the LGBT+ community. However, it wasn’t until 1994 tha

LGB family

LGB family! Hello everyone! I found out that many people has questions about the LGB families, so today I am going to try to explain it. I want you to know that I am not an expert because I don't have LGB parents but I'll do my best. - Do children of lesbian and gay parents have more problems with sexual identity than children of heterosexual parents? The answer at this question is that sexual and gender identities develop the same way among children of lesbian or gay parents as they do among children of heterosexual parents. That's because sexual orientation has nothing to do with sexual identity. As the parents are LGB, they are more likely to teach their kids that it's okay to be transgender, so the kid may question it, but that is absolutely not a bad thing, it's actually pretty good and all the parents should do it. If the kid questions his or her sexual identity is because he or she has been given the chance to choose who they want to be, a

The beginning of the LGBT movement

Imatge
When and how did the LGBT+ movement begin? In this day and age, there has been a huge advance on the LGBT+, and that is thanks to the people who started the LGBT+ movement. So, when and how did it start? Let's find out! Not so much time ago, there were not many places where LGBT+ people could speak freely about themselves. New York and other cities had laws prohibiting homosexuality in public and many others laws that prevented LGBT people from being free. In June 28, 1969, in a very popular gay bar in Greenwich Village, New York called the StoneWall Inn,  During the early morning, the police raided the bar, but quickly lost control of the situation and the StoneWall riot broke out in response to the police raid.  People in the city heard about the demonstration, and soon the customers of the bar were  joined by other gay men and women who started throwing objects at the policemen, while shouting ''gay power''. For hours, LGBT+ people rioted

What are sexual orientation and sexual identity? Nowadays, there is a lot of people that don't understand what sexual orientation and sexual identity are. Some people thinks that they are the same and they couldn't be more wrong! So here I am to try to solve this question for you! SEXUAL ORIENTATION Sexual Orientation describes who you are attracted to, someone of the same sex or someone of the opposite sex or both. However, it is more than just physical attraction to another person.  It can also be explained by who meets the needs for you in a romantic relationship. Research has demonstrated that sexual orientation ranges along a continuum, from only attraction to the opposite sex that you have, to only attraction to same sex as yours. Some sexual orientations are: Male to Female and Female to Male Attraction: Heterosexual Orientation. Female to Attraction: Lesbian Orientation. Male to Male Attraction: Gay Orientation. Male or Female attract
